Jean Arnault serves as the Director of Marketing and Development at Louis Vuitton’s Watch Division. Despite his relatively young age, Jean has quickly established himself as a driving force behind the brand’s ambitious horological initiatives. With his background in business and mechanical engineering, he combines a sharp commercial mind with a profound interest in the technical aspects of watchmaking.
Jean graduated with a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London before completing a second Master’s degree in Financial Mathematics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He gained practical experience at various prestigious institutions, including internships at McLaren Automotive and Morgan Stanley. In his role at Louis Vuitton, Jean is instrumental in driving the brand’s high-end horology initiatives.
Jean spearheaded the development of the Louis Vuitton Tambour Moon Flying Tourbillon, a project that solidified the brand’s commitment to haute horlogerie. Notably, in 2023, he launched the Louis Vuitton Watch Prize for Independent Creatives, aiming to support emerging talents in watchmaking. Among the judges for the prize is Rexhep Rexhepi, a collaboration that underscores Jean’s strategic focus on aligning Louis Vuitton with the independent watchmaking community.
